Under the Same Sky

Two children on opposite sides of the world CRAVE FRIENDSHIP. "We are like the sun and the moon . . . always seeking." "I rest with the stars as you rise with the sun." Is it possible to be friends across the miles? These two children certainly think so, and they are going to prove it with creativity, a little ingenuity, and the help of one very determined pigeon. A gorgeous picture book from award-winning Robert Vescio introduces children to the idea of a long distance friendship between two children from diverse backgrounds. A true celebration of cultural differences, the power of communication, and longing. Read out loud by Tom Hardy on the Cbeebies TV program in the UK. "I love that the book introduces the idea of long distance friendship and how much it is valued by the characters."--mrlovesbookshelf
