Self-Love

In Self-Love, Emily White turns her sensual, manga-inspired gaze inward, illuminating the quiet revolution of a woman who chooses her own pleasure without apology. These stories celebrate autonomy, curiosity, and the courage to unlearn shame. The title narrative follows a heroine who once silenced her desires for fear of judgment, only to discover that fulfillment begins with listening to her own body. In one pivotal scene, she pauses above a handsome admirer, realizing that something is missing-not passion, but reciprocity.A single gesture, a guided hand, a fleeting hesitation reveals more than any declaration. Illustrated in tender close-ups-arched backs, parted lips, eyes closing in self-awareness-Emily White frames pleasure as dialogue, not performance. "I will not leave incomplete," the heroine thinks, reclaiming her rhythm. This is a collection about owning desire, rewriting rules, and discovering that the most profound intimacy begins within.
