Sauna

Emily White's manga-inspired tales unfold in places where warmth, atmosphere, and emotion merge into a single breath. Each story invites the reader into a world of whispered tension, lingering glances, and slow-burning desire that glows beneath the skin like embers in a hearth. In the title story, Sauna, an Italian couple seeking relaxation steps into a rooftop spa glowing with twilight hues, only to find themselves sharing the silence with a confident German duo who seem to thrive in the language of exposed skin and unspoken challenges. A cinematic visual moment hovers in the steam: droplets sliding down toned bodies, the golden reflection of the Dolomites through the panoramic window, and the quiet intensity of eyes meeting across the heat. What begins as a simple sauna session becomes a subtle exchange of curiosity and courage, carried by the rhythm of breath and the shimmer of rising vapor. In the heat, even silence becomes a temptation.
