Breaking Faith

When a defence technology company suspects classified information is being leaked, the board turns to Bartholomew Aldridge - a former MI6 officer running a small, elite investigation firm in Boston.Aldridge and his team of four go in expecting corporate espionage. What they find is worse. A compromised engineer trapped in a six-year nightmare. A foreign intelligence operation run with chilling precision. A CEO quietly buying government contracts through a web of shell companies. And a government contact whose questions are just slightly too well-informed.As the threads multiply, Aldridge realises the investigation itself has been designed - not by his client, but by someone in the intelligence community who needs answers without the obligation to act on them. Someone who chose Aldridge's firm precisely because it has no official standing and no formal reporting requirements. For a man who was once framed and discarded by his own intelligence service, the recognition cuts deep. But this time, he sees the architecture while he's still inside it. And this time, he intends to use what he knows.Breaking Faith is the first book in The Associates series - a corporate thriller with the tradecraft of a spy novel and the precision of a forensic investigation.
