For Jenna Brown, her first year of college means cutting herself off from her family and friends, and for the first time in her life, facing the world on her own. Her boyfriend has made his intentions clear to her: from the moment he drops her off on campus, they will have an open, long distance relationship. Both will be able to explore different relationships, knowing that in the end they still love each other, and they'll be back together at the end of the semester.

Then she meets her roommate's boyfriend's best friend, Jack Ross. Jack seems to want to get to know her, so why not spend time with him? Everything will go back to normal in December, when she returns home for winter break and reconnects with her boyfriend, won't it? But hearts are complicated, and perhaps things aren't so simple, as Jenna takes her relationship further with Jack.

Full of angst and complex relationship dynamics, Before December is the first book in the By Your Side series, promising readers a satisfying new adult college romance story perfect for fans of the genre.
