The House Between Yesterday and Grace

The only thing more broken than Grace Morgan was the house she inherited. After a devastating divorce leaves Grace financially ruined and spiritually numb, she views her inheritance-a sprawling, dilapidated coastal house-as nothing more than a debt-ridden burden to sell. She arrives in the quiet town of Willow Haven consumed by shame and cynicism, seeking an escape, not a sanctuary. But the house remembers. It remembers the prayers of her Aunt Eleanor and the profound spiritual work conducted within its walls for generations. When a catastrophic storm, "The Widow's Wail," rips the mansion down to its studs, Grace is forced into a brutal, physical rebuilding effort alongside Eli Turner, a quiet carpenter who carries a steady faith and a hidden sorrow of his own.As Grace hammers nails and secures new foundations, her internal restoration begins. She uncovers a legacy of healing: a curriculum of journals left by those who found refuge there before her-from the grief-stricken Anna, who taught Surrender, to the rage-filled Daniel, who modeled Forgiveness. The ultimate revelation comes when Grace finds her aunt's final, prophetic testament, realizing her entire ordeal-the debt, the storm, the man who helped her rebuild-was a deliberate, answered prayer. She was not a victim of betrayal, but the Custodian of Grace, destined to continue the work. From the ashes of her old life, Grace must embrace her purpose, mastering the lessons of faith after heartbreak before she can guide the next broken soul to write their own story of renewal. This is a story about how divine timing uses our deepest wounds to build something structurally enduring.
