'Criminal Law and Human Dignity. Dogmatics and Function of Art. 1 para. 1 GG in the Context of Extreme Situations and Extreme Sanctions': In his thesis, the author chooses an intradisciplinary approach that combines constitutional and criminal law in order to precisely work out the human dignity argument for selected conflicts. To this end, he uses the three extremes of killing and torturing in order to save others as well as life imprisonment. The reader is introduced to the nature of the protection of human dignity in criminal law through these borderline areas of the law.
