Reflections of Home

The home is far more than simply a place to live - it reflects the spirit of its time. In a world shaped by uncertainty, crises and constant change, our interiors become places of retreat, expressions of identity and mirrors of contemporary society. In this carefully composed volume, Wilfried Lembert, founder of the Berlin-based furnishing house minimum, explores the social and cultural currents shaping the desires of his customers and examines how these developments are translated into interior design. With a keen eye and decades of experience, Lembert traces aesthetic movements that go far beyond fleeting trends: from grounded desert aesthetics and the raw language of Brutalism to the rediscovery of colour and the quiet strength of reduction. The book reflects on comfort, atmosphere, permanence and the emotional significance of the spaces we inhabit. 'Reflections of Home' is at once a source of inspiration, a portrait of the present moment and a plea: for meaningful objects, thoughtfully designed interiors and homes with character. A book for everyone who understands design not merely as decoration, but as an expression of culture and contemporary life.
