The anthology explores the diverse challenges and opportunities of psychotherapeutic practice within a societal context. It illustrates how psychotherapy can help to reduce social isolation and barriers, foster inclusion, and promote community - while also acknowledging that it does not always live up to this claim. The contributions address current issues such as loneliness, psychosocial care for marginalized groups, cross-sectoral treatment models, and innovative therapeutic approaches. The volume highlights psychotherapy as a social, cultural, and political space that must continually engage with the complex realities of isolation and community.
