Path Illogical

Standing at the edge of a subway platform, Nathan is doing his best to make it look like he's waiting for a train. In fact, he's swirling his head in orchestrated patterns, protecting the word genius from being corrupted in his mind-and in general. It's just another evening in his exhausting search for absolute certainty and safety. An acting student at NYU, Nathan learns that embracing creative uncertainty is essential to his craft-but inside, he's unraveling. Each morning, Nathan spends hours shaking invisible dust out of his clothing that he fears will fall from him as he walks and destroy the sidewalk. He transfers an imaginary orb of energy between his shoulder and his bedroom wall to feel perfectly prepared to make friends at his acting studio. Set against the unpredictable ferocity of New York City, Path Illogical is an intimate and raw memoir about how far one young man is willing to go to ensure every moment along his artistic journey is free of unknowns. Will Nathan learn to accept living a life that is unsure? Or will he continue to walk his path illogical?
