Operational Intelligence

Most firms have more data than ever. And yet the next piece of work still tends to begin with the same questions: Have we done anything like this before? Who worked on that matter? Was the budget realistic? The answers almost always exist. They just sit scattered across the finance system, time recording, the CRM, old spreadsheets - and most of all in people's heads. The firm owns the experience. It simply isn't available when it is needed.Operational Intelligence is about closing that gap. This book describes how a firm's accumulated experience can become an asset that can be explained, shared and used in everyday decisions - and how artificial intelligence can be applied safely and transparently along the way.Part I sets out the vision: why data alone does not produce better decisions, and what becomes possible in the work with clients, people, matters and management. Part II goes through the architecture behind it - the Knowledge Layer, Knowledge Objects, Decision Engines and MCP - written for those who have to evaluate a platform of this kind. Part III looks at where Operational Intelligence is heading as a discipline.
