[Protestant daycare centers as a system of structural coupling]
Over 90% of children under the age of six in Germany go to a daycare center. Institutions sponsored by the EKD and Diakonie are of course part of the diversity of sponsors in the subsidiary system. The question arises as to whether and to what extent Protestant institutions differ from those run by other organizations. An analysis from a systems theory perspective that views Protestant daycare centers as a coupling construct of the religious and educational system, the social assistance system and the "family system" aims to answer this question. It provides indicators of "Protestant profile formation" as well as information about the special performance of Protestant institutions.
